Advocacy: MBABSE will advocate for policies and practices that promote the educational interests of Black students, educators, and communities. We will work to address systemic issues impacting education and strive to influence local educational policies.
Professional Development: MBABSE will provide training, workshops, and professional development opportunities for educators. This helps members enhance their teaching skills, stay informed about best practices in education, and grow in their professional roles.
Networking & Partnership: MBABSE will facilitate networking among educators, administrators, and community members. This fosters collaboration, support, and resource sharing among professionals committed to the education of Black students.
Youth Involvement: MBABSE will organize and attend workshops and conferences that focus on skills development, such as public speaking, critical thinking, and cultural awareness; create platforms for students to take on leadership roles within their school and/or organization. These can empower students to express themselves and engage actively in their education.
Support for Educators (Acknowledge & Recognize): MBABSE will create a supportive environment that acknowledges and uplifts Black educators, contributing to a more equitable education system. We will organize an event or meeting where the educator's contributions and achievements can be highlighted. This could include awards, certificates, or simply a moment of recognition during a larger gathering.
