MBABSE Membership

MBABSE membership is open to educators, administrators, school staff, college students, parents, community leaders, and anyone committed to the success of our students in the Baltimore City region. Annual membership dues are collected each year.

Individual Membership

$50 per person

 Any interested person currently employed by a public or private educational institution, parent or community leader.  

Student Membership

$25 per student

 Any person who is a full-time student in a college university in education or a related field and not eligible for active membership shall be eligible for student membership. 


Retiree Membership

$25 per retiree

 Any person who has retired from employment in a public or private educational institution. 

Affiliate Membership

$50 per member

Any person or organization not provided for in the other classifications.

Dues Payment

Each MBABSE membership dues payment pays toward  our key operational costs such as NABSE affiliate dues, Maryland affiliate dues, website maintenance, baking fees, Zoom fees, and scholarship donation. 

MBABSE Meetings

 To keep members informed, engaged, and connected, MBABSE follows a consistent schedule throughout the year.

General membership meetings will be held every other month. In the alternating months, MBABSE will host events or activities focused on networking, professional development, or community engagement.

  •  Members – All active, dues-paying members of MBABSE.
     
  • Prospective Members – Individuals interested in joining or learning more about MBABSE.
     
  • Educators & School Staff – Teachers, administrators, and support staff aligned with the mission.
     
  • Community Partners – Representatives from organizations who support education and Black students.
     
  • Students & Families – When appropriate, especially if the meeting includes community engagement or student-centered updates.

MBABSE Events/Activities


  Social events are scheduled for the opposite months of our regular meetings.


Social events are  open to 

  • members
  • prospective members
  • educators
  • community partners and 
  • supporters 

who share our commitment to uplifting Black students and educators.


 All are welcome to connect, celebrate, and build community with us.
